| Beste Herren, I just wanted to update that today I finally completed the process for importing the car after having my Dutch kenteken plates made up. I didn't have to pay any BPM or douane (today it's free for cars from 19.5 years old), and the only rejects in the APK technical test were a failed ac... |

| Hi guys - an update. This morning I went to Germany to get the Kurtzeitkenzeichen. It was no problem, just one correction to what was said above: You don't need the VIN number to get the Kurtzeitkenzeichen. You get an empty form and you fill in the car details yourself. | OK, now you've confused me a bit.... What's the difference between a Straßenverkehrsamt (horn) and a Zulassungsstelle (Jeroen). Looking at the link, there's a Straßenverkehrsamt in Viersen, and a Zulassungsstelle in Kempen which are both less than an hours drive from me and I can be there before 12 ... |
