"M" Option Codes
The majority of "M" option codes provide designations for country of sale, such as Italy, Sweden, Austria, France, Taiwan, and the United States. Additional "M" option codes include control and instrumentation designations for countries of sale, such as English, French, and Swedish. Wheel size, sound system, body style, airbag equipment, and headlight configurations are also among the options that fall under the "M" line of option codes.
"E" and "P" Option Codes
Designating the majority of interior options are the "E" and "P" option codes. These help identify the car's upholstery and trim combinations, including light and dark wood, as well as a variety of leather-wrapped interior components. The "P" codes cover some interior options as well as exterior and mechanical options. These include features such as heated seats, aerodynamic body trim pieces, and two-tone upholstery on the seats and interior panels. A sports chassis and suspension are also designated by option codes in the "P" group.
"X", "Y" and "Z" Option Codes
The "X", "Y" and "Z" option codes on the 993 detail a long list of features for both the exterior and interior of the car. These include leather-wrapped CD changers, interior trim pieces such as ashtrays and sun visors, as well as alternating colors of upholstery threading. The "Z" codes detail whether the vehicle has leather upholstery, leatherette or velour interior trim, among other features.

Mijn grote vriend Google schreef:For the USA a cabriolet from the MJ 1984 with I491 exists. The other ones which do not have the option, but carry all insignia of the original Turbo-Look, are documented in the register. Same is valid for the RoW (Rest of World) vehicles of this model year. It is likely that these cars originated by Z application in the special wish department in the Werk1, because all known cars have noted Z applications in their birth certificates.
