Long story...short version. It was about how porsche bought up the majority of VW shares on the quiet and cornered the market..Which in turn made VW shares rocket in price as the hedge fund companies started too panic and buy the last of the shares back. then porsche sold some of the shares back (at a masive profit of about 6 billion  ).
Some say they beat the hedge funds at their own game, costing them billions. Hedge funds say they didnt play fair and manipulated the market resulting in an investigation that is still on going. Martin |
