The good news is that the Bosch distributor is a drop-in replacement for the Magneti Marelli one and requires no modification to the engine.
It is important to note that you cannot swap distributors from one engine to another. The advance and retard characteristics must be matched to a particular engine configuration.
For example, installing a 911T distributor on a 911S engine will produce a different advance curve that will reduce the overal performance of the engine.
You should plan on having your distributor recurved if you are building a custom or modified engine."
