Xenon lamp 996 kapot, hoe te vervangen?

Mijn linker xenon verlichting is kapot. Het stads - en knipperlicht werkt nog wel aan de linker zijde.

Hoe kan dit worden opgelost en wat zijn de kosten?

Verstandig om gelijk de rechter Xenonlamp te vervangen?

Pull back the side carpeting on the inside of the trunk and locate the black rubber plug as shown here (green arrow). Pull the plug out of the body. Insert lower left. With the plug removed, you can see the headlight release cam assembly inside. Use the tool supplied in the vehicle tool kit to turn the release cam (blue arrow). Insert upper right. Turning the release cam will eject the headlamp assembly from the car. It is designed so that it will automatically disconnect the electrical connections when you remove the housing. To release the headlight housing, rotate the tool 180 degrees towards the front of the car. You can see the harness connector for the headlamp assembly (yellow arrow).

The Carrera headlamp is a somewhat complicated piece of equipment. A: To replace bulbs inside the assembly, first detach the end cover by squeezing the tabs on both sides (one side shown with green arrow). B: These are the adjustment wheels and can be turned by inserting a 5mm hex head tool through access holes located in the chassis. Red = fog lamp adjustment; yellow = left/right adjustment; blue = up/down adjustment. C: The turn signal/parking lamp bulb is accessed through the bottom of the assembly. D: The two halogen bulbs are clipped into the rear of the lamp and are easily accessible once you remove the end cover. Don't touch the bulb with your fingers, as the oils in your hand will damage it. The purple arrow points to the access hole you use to replace the fog lamp bulb.


Installing the headlamp back into the car can be a bit tricky. A: The headlamp mates with the carrier plate (green arrow) and harness connector. A bar integrated within the carrier plate locks the headlamp assembly into place. B/C/D: Three circular tabs on the headlamp assembly fit into three channels located on the carrier plate. It's important to look carefully as you install the headlamp to make sure that these tabs are properly aligned in the channels. With the assembly pushed back into the fender, use the headlamp tool from your 911 Carrera tool kit to lock it into place. If you don't have this tool, you can also use a 5mm socket. With the tool facing upward, rotate it toward the rear of the car to lock it into place, or rotate it toward the front of the car to unlock.

Mooie gelegenheid voor een upgrade naar de Osram xenarc ultra lampen.

Kijk maar eens rond op testjes van xenon lampen. De ene lamp is de andere niet....

Zmauz, Olaf en de fiscalist, bedankt voor de info. Ik heb twee nieuwe Philips (origineel) xenon lampen besteld en ga deze zaterdag A.s. Monteren.

Gezien de leeftijd (2002) en km stand (150.400km) ga ik er vanuit dat het gewoon de lamp is. Gelijk de andere vervangen om geen kleur verschil te hebben.

Ik ga ervan uit / hoop dat het dan weer ok is.

Vandaag eerst de kapotte linker lichtunit eruit gehaald. Het glas van de lamp was gebroken en kon dus zien dat het aan de lamp zelf lag.
Met behulp van bovenstaande en de filmpjes van YouTube, die ik deze week heb bekeken was de klus in minder dan een kwartier geklaard. Het verschillen lichtopbrengst is Idd groot en dus gelijk de rechter lichtunit eruit gehaald en daar ook de lamp van vervangen. In minder dan een half uur gefixt..PFers bedankt

Altijd beiden vervangen. Als er 1 kapot gaat, zal de andere snel volgen

Da’s een stuk makkelijker dan in m’n Golf.
Daar moest oa de bumper eraf. Dealer vroeg 385 euro (voor 2 lampen). Bij VAG-specialist 265. Heb m daar nu ook voor onderhoud gebracht.

Nu ik weet hoe eenvoudig de vervanging van de Xenon lampen is en kan zien hoeveel beter de lichtopbrengst is wil ik jullie adviseren om deze preventief te vervangen. Die van mij hebben er achtien jaar ingezeten voor er een kapot ging. Dus wanneer jullie xenon lampen hebben van 15 jaar of ouder is het wellicht verstandig om deze preventief te vervangen.
