Hello members, apologies for writing in English but I'm afraid that this is my only options or a bad google-translate version

I'm joining the forum, a colleague of mine recommended it to me. My name is Rob, I'm British and have lived in Den Haag for about a year.

Prior to living in The Netherlands we last lived in the US. When we moved here we brought our two Porsche vehicles with us.

One is a 2009 911 Targa 4S, the other is a 2011 Cayenne V6.

The import process was quite simple and we used a company in Rosendal to handle most of the process with the RDW etc.

Modifications to the vehicles were limited, though beyond the Europe maps on the Nav systems, the insurance company did require we get NL certified alarms installed. I did not know this, but apparently the alarms used by Porsche in North America are of a lower standard.

We have really enjoyed our first year in Den Haag. We live in the city and love it. We cycle a lot and have found that we really dont need to have two vehicles

So with much regret, and finding it more convenient to cycle to work than drive, I have decided to sell the 997.2

While I do have the Porsche child seat for the 911, and we have done one road trip with our 2 year old to the west coast of wales and back, keeping the 911 vs the Cayenne is not a realistic option.

So, rather than have the car parked outside and only getting used occasionally on weekends, I will be parting company with it. I've really loved it and look forward to my next 911 in the future! Perhaps a new Targa in a few years time

I have looked after this car very well and it is in excellent condition. So rather than list it on a public car selling forum, I thought I would search out for the local enthusiasts and post it here first.

Welcome; couldn't you get all this in one post or are you saving up to be a Forumjunky? Post pics and specifics of the car.

Paul964, thanks for the welcome and sorry for all the posts! Indeed it was split up a lot because apart from accomplishing the introduction I also needed to have 10 posts to be able to post the car in the for-sale section.

My car is a 2009 Targa 4S in Atlas Grey. It has:
- PDK
- Sports Chrono Plus
- Heated and vented seats
- Dynamic Lighting
- Dimming interior/exterior mirrors
- Bose sound
- Nav for PCM
- Universal audio interface
- Satellite Radio (only of any use in North America)
- Heated Steering Wheel
- Blue tooth for Phone

I think that's it - a great car and a lot of fun.

Is wel erg handig want TS heeft nu 10 post staan waardoor hit and run niet aan de orde zou zijn.

Ik verwacht dat deze auto in het koopjes topic gaat thuis horen maar omdat ze in het buitenland wonen dat het allemaal even anders loopt....

@Michiel 911. Ja daar kon je op wachten het verkoop topic is er al.

Misschien een idee. Minimaal x topics en een afkoelperiode van Y dagen, weken, maanden voordat je je eerste verkooptopic mag plaatsen.

Aan de andere kant waarom het moeilijk maken misschien krijgen we een superkoopje als 1e voorbij en staan we dus vooraan in de rij.

I thought by at least doing the posts in one introduction thread I would cause least offence. I was a contributor to a similar forum in the US for many years. Indeed, I just wanted to put the car first here for enthusiasts and if it doesn't sell I will list it in a few weeks on autotrader.

Super mooie auto. Zie mijzelf er al in rijden(mijn bankrekening echter niet) denk dat ik eerder de Cayenne zou verkopen dan deze. Koop je voor de binnenstad van Den Haag maar een oude volvo.
