Het hele verhaal:


Many people lower their P93, some prefer the RoW M030 suspension that drops the car 25 mm all around, others like the P93 Rennsport set up that lowers the car by 50mm. The only disadvantage is that sometimes the car is literally coming closer to the ground with a damaged bumper or chin spoiler as a result. Steep driveways and speed bumps can cause a lot of damage.
On the market you'll find bars and boomerangs that protect the bumpers from scrapes, but they all require extra holes in the bottom of the trunk to install them. The holes you have to drill can cause the metal to rust.

Because I didn't want to damage my car by drilling 3 or more big holes in the sheetmetal , I designed my own "Front Protection Bar" .

Ben benniewd ofdat het wat uithaalt. Huidige eigenaar heeft hem er onder uit gehaald omdat ie continue met de bar tegen de drempels aan zat !!!

natuurlijk bedankt...

Die FPB's zijn inderdaad wel handig om slijtage van o.a. de bandenbak tegen te gaan ... maar als je telkens met je FPB tegen de grond/op drempels zit is dat ook niet erg prettig .... staat je bandenbak aan het eind van de dag gewoon een centimeter naar achteren



Die van die 993 schijnen hetzelfde te zijn als die voor een 964/5 ... was gisteren bij Renntech -voor de strooiwagenschade- en we hebben even ge-brainstormed over een alternatief ..... wél functioneel, maar iets minder drempelvrees; Dé FPS ..... Ik hou jullie op de hoogte van de (prijs)ontwikellingen ...

Ik heb uiteindelijk de FPB NIET gekocht. Hij staat ook weer op marktplaats. Wat bleek- de FPB komt van FVD, dus moet je drie enorme gaten boren om te monteren, daar heb ik geen trek in, dan lijkt het middel me erger dan de kwaal..Moet erbij zeggen dat de verkoper (hans 993 - prikbord) dit uiterst correct opnam en er geen probleem van maakte.

FPS - moet zoveel beteken als een Front Protection Sheet, net zoals voor de 996, moet eenvoudig te maken zijn, ziet er beter uit. Ik houd me aanbevolen - hoef ik het zelf niet to doen.

Precies, het exemplaar van Carnewal maakt gebruik van bestaande gaten, dus geen geboor.
En dat je continu met die bar aan de grond komt klopt ook niet.Gebeurt wel eens dat zo'n vluchtheuveltje iets te enthousiast genomen wordt,
nu houdt die bar dat tegen.
Prima oplossing.

Dus eronder die dingen jongens, want je weet maar nooit of Pascal weer is een up-tempo ritje uitzet.

Kunt zeggen wat je wilt, maar met die FPR wordt het raakpunt NOG(!) lager, dus .....

FPS lijkt me inderdaad een betere oplossing. Niet voor mij , zeker nadat ik Olaf afgelopen zondag weer de nodige meters extra heb zien moeten maken terwijl ik gewoon rechtdoor kon .....

Zal je vrouw leuk vinden.

Jaja "koppie" tis dat ik je dubbelzinnigheid nu wel ff doorheb.

Ja ..... prima bescherming voor verlaagde 911's, zeker monteren ..... maar beter nog een FPS . Als je het raakpunt gaat beschermen door er iets onder te monteren .....

Raakpunt bij 993 is erg kwetsbaar, vandaar.
